MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship

Scholarships awarded annually to international and DACA students enrolled at Universities MPOWER supports. 
​Eligibility requirements: 
  • Be accepted at, or enrolled in, a full-time degree program at a U.S. or Canadian school that MPOWER supports, and
  • Be an international student allowed to legally study in the U.S. or Canada, as applicable:
  • For study in the U.S., this means that the applicant meets one of these criteria:
  • Is a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder)
  • Is protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
  • Has a valid visa that permits study in the U.S.
MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship 
July 20, 2021
$3,000, $2,000, or $500
Scholarships awarded annually to female international/DACA students who are currently enrolled or accepted to study full-time in a STEM degree program at a program MPOWER supports in the United States or Canada.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be female
  • Be enrolled or accepted to study full-time in a STEM degree program at one of MPOWER’s partner universities for the remainder of the student’s undergraduate study and/or for a graduate degree program

B. Davis Scholarship

This Scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post secondary institution.
  • There is no age restriction
  • Be sure to include your name and the school you are attending this year and next
  • This is not an academic scholarship but we would like to know where you are going to school now and what your future academic plans are.

    Please do not send transcripts or letters of recommendation at this time
  •  Application Procedure
    To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay of less than 1000 words on the topic below:

    Describe the three characteristics of leadership you value most.  Discuss why you believe that these traits are so important and how you feel that they are developed in an individual.

     
the Zoila Gomez "Si Se Puede" Scholarship

The SLV Immigrant Resource Center is offering the Zoila Gomez Si Se Puede Scholarship up to $2000.00 to pay for higher educational expenses. The scholarship award may be granted to a DACA/undocumented (undergraduate or graduate) student. Applications are accepted until July 31st, 2021. 

Scholarship Requirements
  1. Applicant must be undocumented or DACA
  2. Priority will be given to San Luis Valley residents or a graduate of a local high school.
  3. Submit the completed scholarship application by July 31st, 2021.
Please note payment of scholarship funds will be contingent upon proof of acceptance to a college or university and will be paid directly to the institution of higher education.
